Please Welcome Lisa LaChance as our New Principal at Andrew Ave.
She will begin on Monday, September 23, 2019. Mrs. LaChance has been an administrator in Naugatuck for the past six years. She has served as an Assistant Principal at City Hill Middle School (2013-2017) and as District Coordinator for Special Services since 2017.

Many food allergies have the potential to be deadly, affecting many of our students here at Andrew Avenue Elementary School. We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our children safe!
Several students have life-threatening Peanut/Tree nut Allergies. If exposed to nuts thru contact or ingestion, these students may require emergency medical treatment. Strict avoidance of nuts is the only way to prevent such reactions. Students should never share food with other students.
If there is a food allergy in your child’s classroom, you should have received a letter stating the allergen and asking the parent/guardian to please sign and return.
Any food brought in for celebrations to share with the classroom must be store-bought, pre-packaged, unopened, have an ingredient label clearly confirming the absence of the allergen stated above. The food label MUST SAY
“Processed/made in a NUT FREE facility” for nut allergies. If it does not, it CANNOT be served to that class to prevent cross-contamination. Please bring these items to the school nurse for approval.
Please consider choosing an alternative to food for classroom celebrations such as books, pencils, stickers, etc.
NAUGY KIDS ON THE RUN
Attention 3rd and 4th-grade parents - From Mrs. Stone
On Thursday this week, I handed all 3rd & 4th-grade students a purple paper for the Naugy Kids Run Program. Please look over it. If your child is able to join this program hand in the paperwork and $6.00 by Thursday, Sept. 26th. If you have any questions contact me at email@example.com

Our doors open at 8:40 AM students can then enter and go have breakfast. (We have free breakfast and free lunch.) A bell rings at 8:55 AM at which time school officially begins. Our day ends at 3:25 PM. On a half-day, school dismisses at 1:00 PM. Lunch is served on all half days. On ½ days called on account of weather and when all after school activities are canceled the SPARK and YMCA program does not run. Please make sure the school knows how your child/children will be going home on those days.
