Note from the Nurse

The COLD weather is upon us!  Just a gentle reminder that the students still go outside unless it is extremely cold.  So, PLEASE make sure students are wearing APPROPRIATE COATS/CLOTHING/& SHOES for the season.  Anyone who does not have a coat or is in need of a coat, please contact the nurse 203-720-5222.  I have a few coats available to give to students who are in need.

Thank you, Mrs Gregg RN School Nurse.

Mitten tree

MITTEN TREE

1st Grade Community Service Project

Please help us in our efforts to keep all AAS community members in warm mittens and gloves this season!

There are many ways you and your family can take part...remember this project is kid-envisioned & planned!

  • Send in a clean, gently used pair of mittens or gloves

  • Shop Goodwill and/or consignment shops for deals

  • Help your scholar earn the funds (chores=responsibility) to purchase a new pair to donate

  • As a family collect and donate

  • Ask a crafty friend or family member to make mittens/gloves to donate

A “mitten tree” has been placed in a central location for community members to take mittens & gloves as needed!

Let’s make this happen and help our first grade scholars see the impact they can have!

Thank you for your support!
